Support Naguru Remand Home in Uganda
Funding is needed to support the children at Naguru Remand Home in Kampala, Uganda.
The Naguru Remand Home for juvenile offenders was built in 1954 to house 45 inmates, however at any one time there are up to 170 boys and girls living here. Living conditions are poor and cramped and often the facility is understaffed. The children have no or very limited access to education or recreation and are locked up in the evenings without anything to occupy them. There are no medical facilities, provisions for the sick, or dedicated psychological support on site and levels of nutrition are marginal. Even a small amount of funding can make a difference to the lives of these children.
